Marketing Manager – Subscriptions / Membership Retention

New York or Charlotte, USA (hybrid - 3 days per week in the office) | Permanent

Salary - c$90,000 Basic + 10% Bonus & Strong Company Benefits

Our client is a global B2B information, membership and events business whose brands are trusted

resources for financial investors, managers and advisers. Recurring revenue is at the heart of

the model, and this role is there to protect and grow it.

The role

You'll lead retention and engagement marketing for a flagship financial news and information subscriptions membership. Your job is to make sure members understand the value of what they've bought, use it and renew it.

You'll turn strategy into lifecycle programmes that cover onboarding, adoption, engagement, renewal and expansion. You'll work alongside Customer Success, Sales, Editorial, Data and Digital, and report to the Senior Marketing Manager.

What you'll do

• Design and run lifecycle programmes, from onboarding and time-to-value through to pre-renewal and upsell
• Drive renewal rates and net revenue retention, reduce churn and run win-back activity
• Use usage, engagement and CRM data to segment accounts by value, risk and opportunity
• Run account-based engagement across strategic accounts, and spot expansion headroom
• Improve in-product messaging, automated journeys and the on-platform experience
• Build renewal and expansion toolkits for Customer Success and Sales
• Guide marketing executives supporting retention activity
• Report on retention, usage, expansion revenue and lifecycle metrics, and act on what the data shows

What you'll bring

• Experience in a B2B subscriptions, information or membership marketing team

• Hands-on experience of lifecycle, nurture and account-based programmes

• Strong copywriting and a feel for what keeps customers engaged

• Confidence with MarTech (Marketo, CRM, Tableau, Heap, Sailthru or similar), and interest in using

AI and automation for health scoring and targeting

• Commercial focus, energy and the initiative to fix problems without being asked

• A bachelor's degree
