Experienced Family Law Trial Attorney

A growing boutique family law firm in Central Texas is seeking an experienced Family Law Trial Attorney to join its expanding practice. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of family law litigation and trial experience and be comfortable handling complex, high-value family law matters from beginning to end.

Austin, TX - Hybrid schedule 3 days onsite / 2 days remote

Full-time - minimum 40 hours per week Benefit eligible

Starting salary of $175,000+, commensurate with experience, Annual and biweekly merit-based bonus opportunities, Annual merit-based compensation increases

The firm is seeking an experienced family law trial attorney with:

• 3+ years of family law litigation experience
• Significant courtroom and trial experience
• Experience handling all phases of family law litigation
• Strong discovery and witness preparation experience
• Experience managing cases from inception through resolution
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• A proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented approach
• Ability to work effectively in a competitive but collaborative environment
• Strong commitment to client service

Candidates should be motivated to take ownership of their cases and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.

Experienced trial attorneys interested in Of Counsel opportunities are also welcome to apply. Compensation and benefits for Of Counsel positions will be based on experience and hours worked.

Responsibilities include:

• Consult with prospective clients and assist with client intake
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships
• Manage family law matters from beginning to end
• Handle litigation, discovery, hearings, depositions, and trial preparation
• Prepare and examine witnesses
• Develop case strategy and legal arguments
• Manage an individual case docket
• Work closely with paralegals and other legal professionals
• Maintain a high level of client satisfaction
• Contribute to business development and new client acquisition
• Effectively manage the firm's incoming client leads

Qualifications include:

• Texas Bar admission preferred
• 3+ years of Texas family law experience preferred
• Significant family law litigation and trial experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work onsite in Austin three days per week

Candidates must be willing to relocate to Austin, TX before starting the position, if not already local.
