CNC Machine Operator

Location: Mentor, OH 44060

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Mentor, OH. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machines including lathes and mills
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
Load raw materials and monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
Inspect finished products for accuracy and adherence to specifications using precision measuring tools.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment following company and OSHA safety standards.
Document production data and machine performance as required.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a CNC Machine Operator or similar role.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
Familiarity with CNC programming and machine setup preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours or overtime as needed.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing facility in Mentor, OH. The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting moderate weights, and working with machinery in a fast-paced environment.
